Just what the title says, plus some ranting. Ok Maybe a lot of ranting.

Gaming!
It's been coming for a while I suppose, but here it is. The Video Game Excitement/Philosophy post! As gamers know, E3 just happened, lots of trailers, lots of new games being announced. Some look really good, some look really bad, and still others looks like they're good enough to be fun. Unfortunately among this there is people who are hyper critical of games, they don't play for the fun of games and if it isn't perfection it sucks. I see a lot of this in the wake of E3. Case in point Halo 4. Everyone hates on the Halo series, but it has been one of the best game series in the history of gaming and I love it. Not just the original, but Halo 2, 3, and Reach. They were fun, the story has been epic to say the very least and I look forward to continuing it. I hear people complain that it's not made by Bungie, but they don't realize that Microsoft Studios is all old Bungie employees, the people who were there for Combat Evolved. It's gonna be great, it's gonna be fun. Ryse! I'm not sure how well action games are going to work with the Kinect, but the trailer was awesome and I think it could be a lot of fun. I mean, you get to be the controller of a soldier fighting in ancient Rome, how cool is that? Other games that have me excited, well RAGE is one, Gears 3 obviously, Spec Ops: The Line (unfortunately postponed due to the release of several high caliber game titles this year), Battlefield 3 (OMG Graphics!!!), Modern Warfare 3 (Great graphics and the series has been excellent so far), and Overstrike (looks kinda like a Borderlands style game and I loooved Borderlands). Speaking of Borderlands, when is number 2 ever going to be announced?!?! I want a Borderlands 2 dagnabbit!!! Also a slight detour to review a game that I got about a month ago, Brink. I like it a lot, it's not exactly epicness, but it is a lot of fun and very unique when compared to other shooters. The weapons and character customization is very nice (especially weapons, at least accessories anyway), the gameplay is fast paced for the most part and can be quite difficult since you die in like two shots so you really have to be careful and take care of your teammates. The campaign was fun, but some objectives can be extremely difficult (you can play revolutionaries or police) from one side of the map and thus it can be frustrating. The game is all objective based, kind of a blend of BF2, TF2, and then it's own kind of stuff. Very interesting. I wish the campaigns were more specialized for each side rather than literally playing the same mission from the opposite side. Overall grade is a B, very fun, give it a shot. Leads into philosophy again, games are supposed to be fun, don't be so critical all the time. Bulletstorm bombed on the reviews because it was short and people thought it was repetitive. Wellll, it is short and repetitive, but don't go out and buy a game that is marketed as an arcade/bloodnguts/absolute massacre type shooter if that's not what you're expecting. I like Bulletstorm, it's fun and funny. Anyways that's all for now. Game on!
